    Hi All,

    I've been looking at getting a laptop from a company called expert trucktech loaded with factory diagnostic software. It runs around 3k so would save me a few thousand dollars a year compared to buying it from the dealers like I am now for cat, detroit, cummins, international, volvo/mack, abs diagnostics etc...

    Has anyone used them or found something similar that they were impressed with?

    I have never heard of anything good from these computer guys that pre load a tuffbook with every software and sell it to a third party. Any name from anywhere.

    Buy a quality laptop and USB link, buy the programs you really need locally so you have support when you have an issue. This is foolproof and no scams, but yes it will likely cost more. Pass the additional cost on to the consumer.
