No, the bridge does not cost that much.
He was making a comment of crossing and getting the extra dollars for an easy cross. -
The rates can be found here. Haven't crossed there for quite a while but they didn't take EZPass.
Like Roadmedic said, I was just saying that an extra $200.00 sounds very good for an easy cross. Crossing is very painless, even if you get a long wait at the border, have an issue with the load clearing and get pulled in to have your load/truck inspected you're still coming out ahead. Chances are none of those will happen. -
oh, well thats good.
Im actually on a canada run right now (at home with it cause thats how they get me home sometimes), but i have to swap it at the border and take another load to wisconsin. I got my passport after i was dispatched plus I can't not take a 500 mile load like that.

#### the Ontario government, not the Canadians. No such thing in the Canadian prairies, though. But BC, that's a different issue altogether, due to the very challenging driving conditions ( mountains ), even in the best weather. You'll be glad not to be able to drive too fast in BC.

apparently we dont get $200 to cross over the border. infact we dont get a penny besides reimbursements.
The extra stops are just listed to send the directions the way tehy want to. There's directions to get to the broker, etc, incase of problems.
I went to canada last night at the lewiston bridge (between buffalo and niagra bridges). Waited in line for about 20 minutes, got up to the officer, and was in within 3 minutes. Came back to the US this morning on the Peace bridge in buffalo, and there was no line at all. The longest part of the stop was when I was asked what i was hauling, and i ended up saying "plastic...thingys" because im dumb.
It took me a minute to spit out the word "organizers" and he was just standing there with a blank stare on his face..argh!
Oh, but..I had a couple hours of BS. You're required to have a high security seal on any load entering the US. My load was split at a drop yard in Milton, ON, and...the load did not have a high security seal. The paperwork also needs to be faxed to the company to send to the border, didnt happen. It takes the broker a couple hours to process that. Also cost me $11 (partially CAD and partially USD lol) in faxes. I got lucky, another driver had an extra seal and gave it to me.
I made sure to buy a couple of bolt seals at a truck stop when i got in the states. Im not going to go on a wild goosechase for that ####.
