If a company is not decent enough to let you know of a pay cut. Then I bet one day you guys show up to work, and find the doors locked as well. Or if your otr, you return to your truck, after taken a shower. Then you find it being towed away from a wrecker.. Why because the company went belly up, and did not inform their drivers..
3 cent pay reduction was untold surprise

Giving you guys a pay cut without telling you is unprofessional and maybe even illegal. The more professional companies are more prone to just hire new guys and students at a lower rate and maybe even cap or freeze rates for current drivers. My current job sucks but I'll stay put until the new year and hope things improve.

Pssst ! Under the new administration....cutting pay, taking pay/bonuses back, is 100% legal.
Look for more of it in the future. -
supposedly they did tell me.... but i never saw it in writing, and they did away with the position that paid the good money.... and gave me the option, quit or go otr... otr i went and never looked back... the .01 paycut was sent to all the trucks informing us of the pay reduction, and when it would take effect.... so they did nothing illegal anywhere....

Could the 3 cent a mile loss been a mistake? not sayin it was, but theres not sense gettin to upset till your sure what the problem is... I have seen a few drivers get so mad that they storm into the office slam stuff around hurl threats and insults because they think they got cheated on a pay check........ Only to find out it was an honest mistake, and got resolved very quickly.......Only to find out their now fired because of their over the edge behavior.....(not sayin this is you) If you co. has been good to this point look into it may have even mistakenly not notified you... happens again now you you got a legit #####... by the way im not tryin to give an otr co that much credit , just a possibilty.....

Isn't 30-32 the wage of a driver with about a year of experience?
-
I made 30-32 back in the 90's! it's a shame they're back to it now!
