I can't help but wonder what would happen if the "merger" doesn't go through...

Anyone else hear that the Pilot purchase/merger may not be allowed by the feds? I've heard this a few times now. I would guess that this would cause some major problems at J in the short run.

Pilot when I'm in a hurry, J when I want something decent to eat, or to relax a few minutes.

Well I have been to alot of bent hooks in the past and I do enjoy a sit down meal but I place the Country Market food on the same level as dog food for the most part. Now I have been to a few Petros and TAs that had good food.

I went to a pilot once because that is all there was in the area. That was the first and last time. I would sooner sleep on the side of the road.

Denny's could been an improvement from much of the Country Market restaurants. It seems to come down to location for the most part. The Country Market's I've been to that are good also serve as the town local restaurant. The ones where only truckers eat seem to be sloppy and food not prepared well.

But the same could easily happen with the Denny's if they don't bring in other customers. It's a shame, but if truckers are the primary clientele, people don't seem to give a frack how the food or service comes out.

yuppers you are right...Kind of sad...I have seen some buffets that I would not serve to my dog! They can be down right sickening to even look at let alone eat! And I watch guys eat this stuff like it is great food and I think man don't you have a woman that can cook better than this so you KNOW what good food looks like????:biggrin_2556:
