Any OOS violations should be repaired before you drive the truck anywhere.

 

They gave you an inspection form with all violations listed. You or the repair facility has to sign it, then the company is to mail it back which is you assuming your an owner operator.

That information is accessible just by running your DOT number through the system. So it’s a pretty big chance, and it’s really gonna sting if you catch another unlucky break in a few days and those items still are not repaired.

 

The carrier certifies the repairs are done when they sign off on the long-form and return it. What you are in danger of is repeated hits in the FMCSA SMS system if you keep getting violations when inspected. @brian991219 might have more to add. I would NOT knowingly operate a CMV that had defects.

 

What were the violations and what’s not fixed?

 

Some states are linked together via computer. Like California, Oregon. And Washington.More than likely they'll check you to see if they can find anything , especially after recently being put OOS.

 

WY. and NE. are 2 that are connected. Don't ask me how I know, 15 min. shaved off WY. ck. in cost me a 10hr. break at hy 2 scales in NE. during the 3 day yearly crack down 1year?

 

You can bet Utah and Arizona share info .

 

I know that Idaho,Washington,Oregon, Utah and Arizona are connected.

 

I always hated that hwy 2 scale out of Lincoln. They only honored Pre Pass once in a blue moon.
