If I go that route, it will be a dodge 3500 5.9 dually, hot shotting with a 48 foot goose neck flatbed with living quarters at the front of the trailer.
More comfort.
More earnings.
More control.
No tyranical monsters.
That will probably happen soon.
But they had no right to record and save
all my phone calls without telling me,
and in fact lying to the contrary.
Nor did they have right to shorten
the pay time on legit certified logs.

I don't think you should sue. I don't see where you have a case. Their company their rules....all you gotta do is go somewhere else. Not only that, you've worked there 3 years.....cut your losses, go somewhere else ...do better

There are two types of people. One type realizes they’ve made a poor choice for an employer and will move on. One type will make a poor choice for an employer, not own up to their bad decision, continue to stay there and get treated like crap, and then look for monetary gain because of their poor choices.

That sounds like a case all right. I’d be very interested to see in discovery who accessed the personal (non driving) part of those videos and if any sections of those videos were copied and pasted for dissemination outside the office.
Look, it’s not paranoia. It’s human nature, sadly. There was a driver who sued HireRight because he suspected his ex employer put some bad non-driving information in his DAC file because he couldn’t get hired after he left the job on bad terms. Turns out he was right. He found a lawyer who sued them, and in discovery he found a comment from his ex employer that had nothing to do with accidents. Turns out HireRight was adding these kind of comments regularly. That lawyer then started a class action against HireRight forcing them to declare bankruptcy.
When a corporation declares bankruptcy a clock starts limiting the time that people can file lawsuits against it. Hundreds, maybe thousands of people weren’t able to find work because some trucking company put illegal comments on their work record. Heaven knows how many evictions, bankruptcies, divorces, and possibly suicides that caused. It’s no wonder they wanted to try to limit that.Last edited: Apr 6, 2021

The fact they even have a single employee left to drive their trash is why they're doing it. If all of you who are talking class action suit all quit the same day with no notice would be more effective in getting them to sit up and take notice, that's assuming there's a large chunk of you willing to sign on to a lawsuit.

Driver, I'm gonna have to ask you to remove your head from your ####. Nobody in this thread is a shill; if any of us were, we'd be telling you to embrace the suck and be a good little automaton. But no, we're advising you that while a lawsuit would be a waste of time and money, you CAN and SHOULD find a different employer, who has more favorable policies and practices in place.
@Long FLD is right; YOU are the captain of the ship. YOU hold the final authority whether that truck moves or not, and YOU shoulder the responsibility for your actions, NOT anyone else. You said you get home every day? Well guess what, driver? That also means you can up and leave anytime, because there's literally nothing stopping you.
