I have a Watranty but it did not cover the Oil cooler module thst failed !

Which caused the 7th cylinder to spin and the bottom part of the engine to fail !

$45,000 Lost ! And I just bought the truck back in December for $52,000 !

Well that's because I have a Life ! And Live on the road.

And I don't live my Life on line !

 

No ! The Dealer told me it's about $40,000 for a New bottom engine,with installation.

I did call Detroit diesel and asked them how much is an Entire New DD 15 Engine block ?

They said about $42,000.

So my mentality is why not just get a New Engine block for $2,000 ! More.

So I'm not getting hosed.

Because I Verified my my Local Detroit shop how muck a New engine cost.

And I don't want to fool around with a used engine and lose more down time !

The ONLY Good news is that I can Deduct whatever the Bill will be ?

Towards my Tax bill for the 2021 year.
