deaeration SW

    I have a 2005 volvo vn D12 engine. The fusein the F80 postion keeps blowing. Replace it with a c/.brk continually shorting out.Decal on fuse cover indicates the following" EMS B/Deaeration SW ". Wkat is it ,where is it located and what is it's function. Thanks

    I had the same issue. Dearation valve is for fuel line to get rid of air. But the fuse is also for power supply to both engine brakes and abs. If it keeps blowing, check the Meritor solenoid plate, underneath the cab, in the center, by the shaft, where abs computer sits. This plate has 5 air hoses, and one electric plug, to contol solenoids. It gets water there, makes it short, blows fuse 80.
