Somethin sounds off if the rpms drop that low when shifting and topping out at 15 shouldnt happen i would have a mechanic give it a once over to see what the problem is then figure out if you can fix it yourself

It’s most likely a setting in the ecm. @nasriza should be able to tell you if it can be changed.

 

At 15000 rpms your truck would be lifting off the ground

 

Whoever set this volvo up they put a progressive shift or rev limit on it, ####ty set up being that its only open to 1500 rpm but some companies like it that way being that it saves them fuel in the long run, that being said something that can easily be open by changin parameters around if this is you truck need to take to volvo or come by me and i can do it if its a company truck still doable but company has to approve it.

 

Make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their upright position and prepare for take off

 

Have the Flux Capacitor looked at also.. It may need to have the plutonium recharged.
