Even if they produced not a burger more than they used to, they should still be making $11.53 per hour.

And we could malign those burger flippers, or we could also ask why we make so little ourselves that $15 to flip burgers seems outrageous.

Don't blame these kids. They're just lashing out against an American dream that is dying right before their eyes.

You used to be able to comfortably support a household on one income. Now two underpaid people can barely afford an apartment. What HAPPENED?

All I'm saying is...point that derisive finger in the face of the people who want you attacking the burger flippers. They're the ones who got the finger pointing started.

I think you already know what happened. 90% of the high paying jobs got shipped off to other countries, or Visa categories were created so that remaining jobs could be replaced by low wage workers. So we could import cheaper versions of the same things with 90 day warranties instead of 5-10 year warranties because the communists in our government think manufacturing is bad, only here though, so they fine anything they see, and make regulations based on idiocy. Smoke, unbreathable air, destroying animals environments, etc is OK, even if it's 100x worse, as long as it's over there...and we can buy it because we didn't see it...

and illegals were brought in to do the physical work instead of paying an American to do the job. Even a teenager like myself who lived in California in the 80s, but wasn't allowed to work by the lousy government, could have done those jobs, and wanted to get paid. Same with all of my friends, we couldn't work and do real work in the fields or help building, or landscaping, or fishing on the boats, so we had to settle for 4 bucks an hour at McDonald's 3-4 hours a day because if we were seen working on a farm the California Nazis would have destroyed the farm owner, but having 200 illegals living in shacks on their land was OK.

Now those illegals are all citizens and the new 20 Million + illegals are doing almost all of the actual work in the US because nobody in the US even knows how to actually work. Thats why!

Even the truck drivers who do put a lot of time in. 90% of them can't even park their ###### truck in the Pilot parking lot and walk 50-75 steps to the Pilot to go get their coffee and 1500 calories of garbage.

NOOO, these ########, almost all of them, park right there in the fuel island, most of them don't even fuel, 1/4 park behind another truck who then pulls up and then the ####### is blocking an unused fuel lane for 20 minutes. All of the lanes are blocked 2 deep by these unflushed turds many times.

One woman driver yesterday in a FAF truck was creative enough to pull in behind a closed fuel island to take an extended nap or something but then when she wanted out an hour later she couldn't even back out because there were about 30 trucks backed up at all of the other lanes so she tried to do it anyway and ended up pissing drivers off enough that one of them went over and moved the trashcans and tape blocking the broken fuel island so she could drive through but she didn't want to because was mad. She kept trying to force her way out backwards. Then the guy gave up, put the tape back and went back to his truck, and about a minute later the FAF idiot woman sped through the tape at like 20mph.

The country is completely full of idiots, morons, #######, and lazy turds, with a legion of buffoons running the whole thing from the TV set, laughing at us the entire time.

This isn't news either. It's been this way for a very long time.

Yes. The globalist agenda is exactly right. And...our standards are falling right alongside the pay we are rewarded with for having ANY kind of standards. If the boss pays you a sweatpants wage, hell you might as well wear them to Applebee's for all-you-can-eat appetizers, too! Saves on laundry detergent, y'know.

Construction industry is in a sad state of affairs. Across the board prices are skyrocketing. Cost of 2x4’s has more than doubled ($3.50 to $7.61). Spray foam insulation resin has gone up 30%. Windows are taking four months to get in.

The lead time for my custom cabinets has gone from 4-6 weeks to 11.5-13.5 weeks. They tell me that on any given day, they’re missing 20% of their work force due to people laying out, and they can’t hire new staff because no one wants to work when they are getting paid to sit at home. It’s very frustrating.

All their suppliers are in the same boat.

On top of that, Walmart hasn’t had my brand of bourbon for weeks! Their shelves are pretty bare.

I hope most of the general contractors lose their rear ends! Here in Missouri construction is a freaking joke.
15$/hr for a skilled carpenter lol not on your life pal. I’m not joking that’s what 90% of “companies” want to pay guys with experience on top of being 1099 with no insurance or benefits not even workmans comp.

We are literally seeing a new century of the company town and sweat shops.
They own the housing so they can charge what they want.
They own the store so they determine how much and what you can buy for what price.
They own the utilities so they decide how much your bills are
Finally they own the company you work for so they decide how much you make.

my names little jimmy im 10 years old.
I’ve worked at the factor since I was 6. I’m a team lead now but my lungs hurt real bad most days. It’s a shame I got a raise but the prices did too.
The house is real crowded I can’t sleep at night. You see my 3 siblings share one corner while the other two families take the rest.
Momma says if we all work hard we might even be able to afford some heat this month.
I just hope I don’t get maimed like miss Jackson. She lost her arm in the machine and then her job a minute after.

Stop defending the 1% that would feed you to the rest of 99% if it saved them a dime.

Edit: I gave a dramatic retelling of REAL US HISTORY. Why mega corporations and monopolies are bad. You’re foolish if you don’t think we’re starting to repeat history.

    Well, that sucks.

I’ve told this story a few times. We paid a jack carpenter $1000 to do a thousand dollars worth of damage to five interior doors and some baseboard. Beat the crap out of them with a hammer. Paid another trim carpenter $65/hr to fix the mess, and he as still only average.

My son, who is still learning, gets $40/ hr. Come to the free and prosperous state of Florida.

    ...because a Florida man...

And anyone who doubts this man should read The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. It offers some unfortunate insights into what companies would do if they were allowed to self-police again.

If economics are an ebb and flow, we have been in an ebb for 40 years now.

    Holy #### 40$/hr?

im not a master carpenter but I can do framing, some finish carpentry trim/casing roofing sheeting hang drywall make a mess out of a metal roof etc. I can do a bit of tile but anything too complex and I need a second set of eyes. Hell I can even refinish hardwood floors. I’m a few notches above a amateur painter and no talent for finishing drywall.

Edit:those doors remind me of my learning curve with trim carpentry. Boss took me to a subdivision and showed me the “work” a previous company had done to all 12 houses.
Not only were the doors beat to hell, they also were hard to open (opening too short)
“Cut the doors down, fix the jams, fix the casing, windows too. Start with here and work that way I’ll be back in a day or two you got keys to the trailer”
