It’s in 2011 tandem dump as noted in my previous post truck will be doing a lot of idling will this give me a lot of issues with the emissions on the truck,I can bump it up to 1000rpm when I stop but I can’t keep starting it every 2 minutes, short hauls only about 2 miles round trip. Thank you your advice is greatly appreciated.

Maybe check if it has latest software. I had 2011 engine it has all kinda of trouble when idle overnight. You wake with check engine light for parked regen that took about 45 minutes. Now driving company truck it 2020. They are set to regen every 6 hours of idle time when parked. Plus it only takes 20 minutes. It also happen automatic. The computer does everything now manual regen.
You can also look into Diesel Force cleaning system. It's a foam that cleans out soot from english and emissions system.
Maybe the best option might be Google Max Milage by Pittsburgh power. You put small amount in every diesel tank that claim it will clean out emissions system and keep system clean. It work by burning the soot. If truck has lot of soot it can't fix everything. You need something like the Diesel Force cleaning to get everything out back to new clean. -
Boy is that good news as I really like this truck it has a4500RDS Allison low hours and mileage. Is that a good dependable engine that’s been around for a while, really appreciate your knowledge and advice. Thanks

Aside from what's been mentioned, high idling when doing stationary work also works as a preventative measure. (As in everytime we turn our pto on on our tow truck we turn the idle up)
