When you start to get really big it’s better to just drop the load somewhere and then bobtail to get fuel. Those things aren’t really very big and you can eyeball stuff if you pull the same thing a lot.

 

@Rontonio could you tell us how wide that truck chassis is?

 

That's what I always thought they needed for the GPS voices. And you could get the Samuel Jackson voice telling you "Turn left Mother####er!"

mid it is a 793 chassis it will under 13’ wide - doable at a petro or Love’s usually - harder to judge the room to get straight for the fuel lane or the amount of room to get out. Takes some planning or checking before you do it.

backing out is a necessary thing a lot of times - but I feel like the flashing lights, flags, banners and pilot cars should be a heads up that you should consider a different pump. But you can’t really explain it to people who don’t get it right off

If they trust me to move a 200k load 3000 miles, pretty sure I can figure out how to get fuel and I am sorry if it causes some inconvenience.
Everybody is always in a hurry and we are in the “way” - same as when we are out on a 2 lane. People lose their #### because they have to travel less than 900 miles per hour. Sorry, I am going to operate in safe manner no matter what.

 

I would think the length would be more difficult than the width. Long and tall are much more difficult IMO than wide. OP is looking at the fuel pump, while I would be worried about the crown in the road. Thanks for responding, Big Ronnie.

 

We have guys pull right into our yard with super b's and are then shocked to realize that the yard is not a pull-thru. I have only ever had 1 driver actually park on the road and walk in first.

 

I have often walked that last mile or so just to avoid those type surprises. Flashlight in hand.

 

Don't pull no B thingy's, but definitely done my share of walking to see what I'm getting into.
