Forgive my ignorance, but will it be harder to find loads for the stepdeck, or would it offer more versatility? Thanks

I pulled a. 53 foot step deck. 10 foot top deck 43 bottom deck. Not many loads didn’t fit on bottom. I thought it was more versatile. I carried two load levelers and it worked out great. Once in a great while it didn’t. 53 step will be heavier. You also have to have 5th wheel set back. I would choose one over a flatbed always.

Anyone know much about Bruce Oakley? Settlement amounts seem pretty good.

Flatbed is more versatile than hoppers, you trade something for something all the time, have flat and step. Your not going to get a trailer that does it all -all the time, I have a 53' , could have used a 48' 90% of the time to accomadate the loads. Step with levelers work great , most all loads are lower center of gravity , makes it mighty nice. Personally, don't like the spreaders, rather would have close sliders, less tire wear and torque in hard loaded turns but, lm in the mountains .

I wonder if they’d ever make an exception on the beard thing. For me I have a beard for religious belief, quite simply I believe that’s how God created man to be, so I wouldn’t shave my beard off for a job. Not that I’m currently interested in a job, but I have talked to a recruiter in the past.
My Dad worked in the Walmart automotive department in the days of Sam Walton. He was big on no beards too, but in my dad’s case he made an exception since it was for religious reasons.Muddydog79 Thanks this.
