I haven't been on here much, so I decided to give my old thread a bump with a update, I am now transferred to a different terminal and was recently put on CPAP or APAP by a Concentra doctor, I don't really know if the APAP is having any benefit or not, the tech at Sleep Charge swore that I would feel like a kid again but honestly I don't, what I am having is more sinus and allergy problems with it, I am using distilled water for the humidifier container so I know I am not ####ing up that part of it lol, when the doc ordered the sleep test he gave me a 90 day card, I have since made APAP 30 day compliance and I am now on a 1 year physical card again and keeping my APAP usage at about 80 to 85% , if I don't do that and my usage falls below 70% Saia will put me out of service until I am compliant again, the APAP machine reports daily back to Sleep Charge and then they report to Saia no way around that, so far I am liking my new domicile but still to early to tell how well things are going to go, I do know I am glad to be back to what I consider home, Arizona was cool but the heat was driving me nuts.
Radman, LtlAnonymous, sabresfan 76 and 2 others Thank this. -
I have severe allergies as well, and you know what worked for me with my CPAP? Running the #### thing dry, no water. That way I am not congested at all.USMC 3531 Thanks this.

I will try that, the only reason I hadn't is because I have been sticking to how my tech told me to run it, they said the water would help with preventing dry nasal and throat after a sleep, which it seems like it does, but #### I have been stuffed up the last three weeks, thanks for the advice!LtlAnonymous Thanks this.

If it's a Philips CPAP, discontinue use. The foam filter inside the unit is breaking down and could enter your lungs. They're supposed to be fixing or replacing soon.USMC 3531 Thanks this.

Thank you for the heads up, fortunately it's not a Phillips, it's a ResMed.Hazmatt Thanks this.

Try turning the heated humidifier off but leave water in the chamber.
BennysPennys, USMC 3531 and The Shadow Thank this. -
Seems a little better now, will go with that for now, thank you for the input.HiramKingWilliams Thanks this.

Haven't been on TR in awhile, just seeing what's going on, still at Saia and things are going well, I am on a bid run and have got back into the groove of hooking and pulling triples, did it before but had a break from them when I was working in Arizona, the run is 466 miles round trip, no real weather here yet except up on Donner but supposedly it's coming, guess will see.
