13 speed ? Motor rebuilt than . Not a transplant. D&D seems to have good reviews.
Any smoke at startup or acceleration ? -
13 speed, yes rebuilt motor. Haven't had hands on it yet for start up. Really trying to get a feel if the price is fair for what I know so far. It's a air plane ride to get to the truck. Sitting at a Pete dealership now. Had minor repairs done to get DOT.tommymonza Thanks this.

I paid 15 for this pile 2 years Ago. N-14 13 speed one small company owned. All original at a million 175 with all reciepts. Only major thing done was heads shaved and clutch.
Clean oil analysis from owner who I feel was honest.
No smoke on startup or acceleration. Can’t even tell if it’s running by smoke.
I paid too much because it needs all new tires but every other truck I looked at was Beat Beat Beat.Itsbrokeagain, Mattflat362 and 2021 truck Thank this. -
I appreciate your input. Thank you.

It’s not really worth anything There is far many people on here with much more experienced and knowledge about Pete’s and Cats.
If it’s clean and meets your specs 30 thousand is reasonable if the rubber and brakes are all good.2021 truck Thanks this. -
How many gold bars does it come with for 30k? That’s about twice what a short hood day cab with a c12 is worth
2021 truck Thanks this. -
I paid 11,000 for this one about five years ago, cleaned it up and painted it and made it look good.
It was a one owner with all the paperwork, had a C 12 with a super 10 at 410 hp.
Had it turned up to 500hp in 1850 torque.
Sold it to a local flatbread Company who took a load up to Flagstaff and promptly melted the engine down.
Got to keep an eye on that Pyro with that little engine if you turn it up.2021 truck and Long FLD Thank this. -
If they’re driven right the c12 is a decent engine but they don’t run well with liquid pistons.Bakerman Thanks this.

Im not saying the truck is worth it, but we live in clown world now. Everything is priced sky high and people just don't seem to care, just "shut up and take my money".
I paid 10k more for an 02 379, but its a conventional with a sleeper, 6nz and a 9 now converted to a 13. I figured I was gonna spend 40k minimum on a truck no matter what, so might as well get one I liked and has a very detailed maintenence history. -
Hood and a big block make the difference, the c12s are actually decent motors, just don’t have the power, my uncle has 2 of them in identical t800s, think he paid 12k for the last one, daycab, 46 rears 14,6 front etc, had a meritor 10 speed in it and swapped it for a 13
ChevyCam and 2021 truck Thank this.
