Hi. I'm looking to go to a trucking company sponsored school. I had a CDL once upon a time but the state took it away because I wasn't actively driving at the time of renewal. I used to drive truck for a short period of time almost 40 years ago (small dumps) and then had a couple of small tractors (Jimmy and a Mac) for a little bit and drove an old beat up Freightliner hauling hay. Only gauges it had was a tach and an air gauge. but it's been so long ago and so much has changed that I wanted to go to a school and start over. The Jimmy was a gas rig with a 5 and 2 as were the dumps (well, one was a Jimmy with a 5 and 2; the other was a Chevy with a 4 and 2). My Mac was a 10 speed. I looked at C.R. England but they didn't seem to have the best rep. Watkins Shepard sounds a lot better. Anyone have any positive recommendations/experiences?
A lot of fuel has passed through the injectors now and I need to change careers.

Hi Jerry, from what Ive seen here is that people speak well of Watkins Shepard. I would try System Transport. The website has a link to a driving school. Its seperate from the company but they job place to them quite a bit. I believe the website is trans-sytem.com.
Baack Thanks this. -
