I cant say I'm completely on my own but I feel like it.I have two partners who are drivers but 0% business knowledge.I have the business experience and have filed every form to get our authority, negotiated loan, and will continue to be the only marketer, eventual broker, dispatcher, bookkeeper, etc because my partners only want to drive.
Who is 100% on their own here?

Might be hard now but ultimately you’ll be at home in control and they’ll still be out busting ### away from home.
My guess is ultimately you’ll buy them out. Jealousy will eventually get the best of them.God prefers Diesels Thanks this. -
Was in 2010. Crossed at Port Huron went to the company yard near Ontario. When I was coming back was in a empty tanker and the guy on the American side asked me a bunch of questions. After he figured it was my first trip he sent me through x-ray and there was a big line there. Load didn't pay enough to go through that crap again.Coffey, Mattflat362 and God prefers Diesels Thank this.

Yeah hopefully not but I stay open to all options and I have a exist strategy in place.I forced them to sign an operating agreement which we notarized and we've had to amend twice already because they always want more profit shares opposed to growing the company reserve so I look at it like I'll get my initial investment back and the connections I made I will be able to duplicate with two drivers for hire as opposed to two drivers who think they are businessmen.

Ive already been down not your exact route but something similar, and even with it being a close brother, it did not work.
Partners are nothing but trouble.JoeyJunk, Lazarus Jackson, Coffey and 3 others Thank this. -
I'm learning this the hard way.One is my nephew. The funny thing is the original plan was to save 75k ,have a business plan, operating agreement, build our busines credit ,startva dispatching company, before we even buy a truck. A few months later he says he started a LLC with his coworkers who all work for the same trucking company. A month later he cries to me he needs help or their down payment is lost at the dealership and they had axed all the other coworkers out.My gut said no but trying to help family.smh.Never again.

I got my authority myself and do everything else myself. It's not hard nor time consuming.
Also do some of my own repairs. Replaced my ac condenser twice, replaced my coolant pump a few weeks ago, replaced a hose for my cab heat yesterday, also done air bags and brakes.JoeyJunk and Mattflat362 Thank this. -
Nice! How many miles a year you running? Got a nice garage or pad you park on?
I kinda disagree on the time consuming though!JoeyJunk and ProfessionalNoticer Thank this.
