In time they will have the big cab as everybody will have it.

BUT koleka's will fun..................those longer cabs come with a longer wheelbase truck.
They allready have issues driving with a short wheelbase.................can you imaging them having to make tight turns with the longer truck.

 

koleka boses will not buy selfsteering axles, many of koleka trailers dont even have lift axles.
2weeks ago i saw ro koleka with bring mega trailer make U turn on middle of the road at high speed, there was good place to make normal 3 point turn 20m away.

sometimes i go for 3.55m. it is good for driving on regional roads

 

who needs an extra 30mm ?

Someone have some info about new length regulations ? Will our 25.25 meters extend to 25.85 to fit bigger cabs? Not much info about new Eu regulations. Only that the turning radius will not be bigger.

 

I thought a Truck & Trailer was Limited to 16.5 Metres..

An enquiring Mind needs to Know...

 

16.5 is tractor semitrailer in most of Europe. Truck plus trailer is 18.75.

Sweden has its own rules, 24m for both, while combination is 25.25m. combination includes dolly, or semitrailer plus pug trailer.

In sweden they also have 2 semitrailers

 

Basicly the rules concerning the trailers remain the same.
So the loadfloor stays as is.
You get up to a extra 90cm or 3 feet to improve aerodynamics and thus mpg,driver safety and the safety off anyone crashing into you.
Present cabs will be grandfathered out in time.
