Not a gambler but I sat at the slots next to the bar
Got free drinks if playing
Won $400
Stopped on my way back though and figured that there surely was more $ where the first came from
Nope
They got it back

That's typically what happens. If it didn't, they wouldn't be in business. I was up $60 on the video poker. I started with $20 and ended up giving it all back, but it took awhile.
I hardly ever gamble so no big deal. It's a nice diversion from life on the road for a few hours.kemosabi49 and GYPSY65 Thank this. -
I've stayed at that WV TA a few times. The actually TA sucks all the sand frac guys take up all the parking. BUT the country pride budget there is amazing! Best one I've been too. And the steakhouse across the street is OK. Never checked out the strip club though. Never been a fan of strip clubs

The bar across the street used to have daily specials that were good eats. I stopped for a late lunch there a few times on the way through. Good price too.

Bosselman i80 ex312north grand island ne has a bar in the restaurant.
Sapp bros i80 ex370 i think near Cheyenne wy has a steakhouse next door with a bar. Great prime rib steaks
There's another bar and grill across the interstate from a ta in wy on 80. I don't remember the ex # but the ta is on the south side of the interstate. The bar has a small lot for truck parking. I haven't been there yet but i hear the food is good.Last edited: May 16, 2021
usamerica Thanks this. -
Big truck stop at Lincoln Al. has two nice restaurants, a motel, and a bar that serves food. A short walk up the hill there's a kickin nightclub. It's a membership place but you can pay the fee and go in the same night.

Pilot or flying j in Laredo has a strip club across the street.

Is that the one that was called the Windmill Truckers Center before my time? If so, it's unique
among T/A in that it has no pumps for four-wheelers; just diesel. Which is interesting; you would
think they would spend some money on the tourists everyone says they cater to these days.
And yeah, the food on the buffet is awesome! Too many dropped trailers, though. -
The bar is still there and has an attached massage parlor in it now as well.
Believe it or not, they still call it the 76 Spa.Scoott709 Thanks this.
