Talked to my recruiter and I am set for January 4th. She wanted to get me in sooner. Christmas is coming, GF's birthday is New Years eve.

I may go to Oklahoma and visit my dad before I start too.

She told me I would be going to Atlanta and join the SE regional. Nice I guess. I wonder if that is just for my training period. Told me I would be home every six days.

    I guess I can relax. :biggrin_25520:

I am going to get my HAZMAT test tomorrow. Driving test is 7:30AM Thursday. Graduation is the 15th.

One of my classmates is scheduled for that day. He is a Egyptian English teacher. That is if his wife will let him!

    More than likely.

I honestly wouldn't bank on that, unless you do in fact get on a regional acct. right out of the box once your training is finished.

Either way, good luck, hang in there when it starts to get to you (it happens to everyone, as you have a lot thrown at you ), and give it hell out there!

I never drove OTR. I did line haul for a few months hauling jet A and avgas. I hauled concrete, block, drywall, rebar, and sod. I got tired of the less than laborer pay. I quit a job back then making $6.50 hauling block. Picked up a shovel and started at $7 :biggrin_25516:

I am looking forward to going too. My girl friend is making a big sacrifice letting me go OTR. So being home for Christmas and her birthday (New Years) is an important thing. We are going to run out and spend a few days with my dad. I haven't seen him in two years.
