Shut down in Omaha, NE. It's just not worth it to be out there tonight unless you have a couple of chains on at least. Had a lot of fun out there today though. From dash cam.

Blizzard warning in effect here for all of Iowa till 6pm. Interstate 35 completely shut down. I'm here at Walcott and we have winds of 35-40 mph and 1/2 mile visibility at best.

Apparently I-80 east of Des Moines is closed. The National Guard is out rescuing stranded motorists. I'm in Council Bluffs. I-80 is open here but I'm not going to head east until opens out there. I don't want to get stuck anywhere.

Be careful when you do leave. 35 is notorious for snow blowing across it.

I don't blame you, I'm only 40 miles from you and we got 12" according to the news. I wouldn't move either, until I knew that the salt shakers had been out for a while.

    CommDriver Thanks this.
