I'm all for less rules and deregulation . . . but NOT HERE! We need more safety inspectors, especially for buses. :biggrin_25516:

The city of Houston has made contracts with private school bus carriers. The distric relies on the contractors to do background checks. I was behind several doing 50-55 in a 40.

Well I'm kind of torn here. I have kids who ride those buses. I want them as safe as possible. I also want the other trucks around me, my family, and everyone else on the roads as safe as possible. I am also all about MORE TRUCK PARKING everywhere in the country. Indiana is building this huge 150+ truck parking rest area in place of the old one on I-70 but they are laying off 42 inspectors who make sure the the school buses my children ride on stay safe? And not to mention these idiots in Indianapolis trying to fine someone up to $2500 for challenging a ticket! I'm about done with this communist state for good! :biggrin_25510:
