    Yep, thats about the only real turn off for me about the truck, gear speed calc puts that combo right at 57 mph at 1500 in O.D. Now I do live in hilly country, and travel mostly winding single lane with some two lane highway so my cruising speed is anywhere from 55-62 but I think the 4.33 will be a tad low.

    A 12.7 likes to run at 1600-1700 rpm anyway. If you run where you say all the time, this truck would be a puller. If you want faster you could change to 24.5 tires, or as a cheaper alternative, when replacing your old tires, switch to 11R22.5 instead of low pro. That will give a few more mph.
