Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I'm confused. If you got a ticket and went to traffic school, the ticket was dismissed. It is NOT on your DMV. Now, did you cop to getting a ticket, even though it was dismissed?
-
Usually if the economy were what it was say 3 years ago they would not have minded a bit about that. But now, they are really picking from the pool for the "best" they can find. If the ticket was dismissed and you know this for a fact, then it is not showing up. You must be just telling them right off the bat that you got the ticket. Try not listing it on any of your applications. If it comes up (which if dismissed it shouldnt) just say you forgot about it, it was supposed to have been dismissed. But being rejected over 1 ticket is just the luck of the draw at this very point in the economic hell hole we are in currently. Once we are out of it, I am sure they will be happy to forget that one ticket they turned you down over. -
If you when to traffic school,it should not be on your dmv.But I guest it denpends on your state laws.I would call your local dmv office to see what to do about it.

goon, the ticket will be on your mvr for 3yrs. depending on your reason for the defensive driving course which is insurance or the court and the circumstances, taking the course doesn't always take a ticket away.
it being 15+ most company wont hire becuz they see this as you being a speedster and they dont want to risk that problem with their insurance agent.
sorry to be blunt but this is the truth of the matter. -
Goongrinch and others, enter Speedingticketcentral.com, and then for Cal. Seems if you don't follow the procedures properly the ticket will not be dismissed. 15 mph over is a serious fine . It's so bad now that I can't get hired because of a 2006 accident, the other drivers fault and no injuries.
