1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

There are procedures for traffic school. After you complete the school, you have to send in the proof back to the court to keep it off your record. If you did that and it is on your record, talk with the court clerk where you went to court and try, (if that's possible) to get it un-done on the DMV. It's worth it to keep that ticket off your record.

Yeah I know In Ca. for instance, even though you go to traffic school, you still pay full price (fine). They call it "court costs" or something like that. KEEP YOUR LICENSE CLEAN.....

Just be advised once you get your CDL you can kiss that driver school option goodbye . Once a CDL holder gets a conviction it sticks .

I thought defensive driving for ticket dismissal was not even an option for someone who actually HAD their CDL. Maybe I misunderstood then with my post. I thought he did not have a CDL yet. Oopsie.

I know in Florida you could take defensive driving and you wouldn't get any points on your license. Still is on your record. At that time insurance companies wouldn't know it. Now? I have no clue!

I couldn't opt for it here in TN because I got a ticket in Nebraska less than 3 years before. The judge did reduce the ticket to 10 over.

Covenant will take some that others won't. You can try!

Yes I know the rules RickG !! Yes, it's stated all over the place-CDL=No school for dismissal of tickets. In florida it still works half the time. I don't know why, but it does, at least for now..................

It will say adjournment witheld on your record but there is two different types of mvr in florida, a three year and a seven year. On the basic mvr it will not show up, but there is a option where it will show up on the mvr.
