Hello,
I've searched through the posts to this thread and have read where some have said that if you're on meds for high blood pressure that you need to bring a note from your doctor.
Several other people have said that your doctor has to sign some kind of a release form saying that your blood pressure wont cause drowsiness.
I do have a note from my doctor saying that I'm being treated and monitored for my blood pressure. However, the note doesn't mention anything about my medication not causing drowsiness.
If I get down to Salt Lake and take the DOT Physical, will that note be enough or will I have to fax a release form to my doctor?
Thanks.

Inspection bays? What are those for to see if you banged up the truck or trailer?
-
Nope.
We have to bring the truck and trailer thru a bay every time we go to a terminal. They will check tires, brakes, lights etc.
All trailers are serviced when in bays, at least once a month they try and route every trailer to a terminal for inspection and service. Also when ready for service due to miles.
Trucks get an A service every 7,000 and B every 14,000.
If anything needs to be fixed you have to then go to the repair bays, or if a longer fix you will drop off the truck for them and they will bring it in.
If the truck needs anything other than minor repair they will find you a loaner truck and keep you rolling till yours is ready. No sitting more than a day max.
It is just a pain to wait for the bays. Sometimes for hours.
I will say that the equipment is in very very good condition. I have not seen a bad trailer yet, and all tires on the trailers are almost new condition compared to what I am use too.
All tandems slide easy, no binding. All legs go up and down easy, and the trailers track straight.
Also whenever in a terminal you have to go thru the wash bay. It is only a spray wash for the tractor, but helps to keep it cleaner, and the trailers get very clean with the brushes. So equipment usually looks good. The Challenger Thanks this. -
How are you holding up? Are you done and solo yet, what of the others?

I can't speak for your meds but I'm on Lisinopril, HCTZ, and Norvasc. Central had no problem with these.
I have no problem with drowsiness but the diuretic can be a real pain as a driver. Sometimes the rest areas and truck stops are too far apart for my comfort!! -

What a wonderful night, last night turned out to be. Family, good even great food, presents.......it was just almost magical. Hope ya'll have just as nice of one when it comes your turn.
Merry Christmas to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 -
Just finishing first home time. Received 07 Volvo (Cummins engine). Made a couple of runs to Portland/Auburn. Heading up to Burlington, WA for run to St. Jo's. Weather looks crappy.
How are you holding out? Pops, Stone Cold, James, and several others all came through about Thanksgiving. Only hitch was getting 28 driving days. They wouldn't accept time under Dispatch as a day if you sat. Had to go out with second trainer for a couple of extra days. Actually it was nice having a fresh set of ideas.
Take care and stay in touch! -
From Visya eh? Good stuff...

Can you have a inverter if you buy it and pay to have it installed yourself with Central. What kind of equipment does Central run (tractors). Can any of the company drivers or current students tell me how is Central when compared to Stevens Transport. THANKS
