Heck with that. Too high there and if there is problem you can not return them. Try best buy, circuit city, or someplace like that.
Handy tip for newbies....

All the trucker specific ones I have come across anywhere run $300-$500 depending on the particular brand and model. Cobra so far has been the highest along with Garmin that I have seen. Regardless of where it was.

Best Buy and Circut City wont have the PC Miler or Co-Pilot for a Lap Top...

notarps------- what GPS do you use? would u reccommend it? is it accurate? I see they have a model that has a 7" screen at Pilot, does yours have the truckers software?
-
I have a garmin streetpilot c 330 I have an older one. It is the truck version and yes it is accurate. I only use it as a tool. I double check my routes, but when you get in a detour or need a good ETA you can't beat them. I like it because I can see the name of the street before I get to it.
I can zoom in and see the streets better. How sharp the turns are etc. Mine has more than paid for itself with the fuel bonuses I got for low OOR. I would not drive without one now that I am used to one. Some places it will have me follow a truck route. Other places it will put me down town like atlanta. So I always recheck everything, but they are well worth it and you can write them off on taxes. -
I got mine at bestbuy. I paid about 100 bucks less than a truck stop and had a problem. Took it back and got a new one. You buy one from a truck stop and you will have to mail it in to the dealer. I have listened to many cashiers telling drivers that when they had a problem with theirs.Last edited: Dec 13, 2009
