This truck has the transmission cooler mounted in the way of the pump, that’s married to the PTO gearbox. What are y’alls suggestions?

Relocate the cooler. Shouldn't be a huge deal just need to find a good spot for it with decent airflow and relatively protected. Then just get new hoses built to reconnect it to the transmission.

On my 1980, my cooler is mounted between the frame rails, above the transmission output yoke.

Some folks say you can delete the cooler and just put a hose looping back into the transmission. Personally I wouldn't go that route. I like keeping things cool, they tend to last longer.

Yep. Either on the crossmember above, or run lines to the front and mount below the A/C condenser.

I’ve got a couple W900A’s and neither has a transmission cooler. Rerouting to the front of the truck and mounting it above the 12.7 Detroits air to air, would be possible. Just wondering if it would be detrimental for me to bypass it? Not an OTR truck, just a local hopper bottom and end dump truck.

Dump truck would need cooler more so than otr, lower gears and pulling heavy is where you tend to build heat.
Other than that I havent seen to many heating problems running syn 50 weight trans oil.
You can loop hose and see if trans overheats, or they make bypass plate that mounts where hoses come out. If you want cooler just put where its convenient.

I ordered a reman transmission on a pallet. It had ports for a transmission cooler and ours did not. Called the builder: They said if it is not an interstate flier just plug the ports. We did and never had a problem with that.
Like the idea of a bypass hose better.

We used to just relocate the to the easiest place. Never had a problem with them between the frame and fairing.

I suppose you could put the hoses together but on my transmission I was recommended to put the bypass plate on.

I think it only cost like $10.

That's interesting because I was told not to plug them. Whether it's right or wrong I don't know but they told me that that has to actually circulate and you need the bypass plate.
