So is there any effective way to keep a pet hydrated without having to stop to fill up a water bowl? I'm tired of the truck bobbing and weaving like a Ticonderoga class missile cruiser in heavy seas and all the water flying all over the place.

Only thing I could think of is a hamster like thing that the cat could suckle out of. But mine prefers open bowls.

I use a water dish that a medium sized dog would probably use, for the cat. You need one that's heavy constructed, hard to tip over. Just don't fill it over half way, and sit a towel underneath it to catch the sloshing. I just top it off all the time with bottled water. Keep two towels for this, and when one gets wet jut hang it up at night.

I have a towel under the dog’s bowl. During the day I keep it about 1/3 full. When I park for the night I fill it about 3/4 full because she eats and drinks during the night.

I already got some dog food bowls at the house. Just got to find a spot to place them in the truck. Perhaps the passenger seat well.

Get a deep bowl, and keep it filled about halfway. Also, flip the bowl over and spray the bottom (the outside) with some of that spray-on rubber to keep the bowl from sliding across the floor.

Thats what I use for my dog they do make a bigger one but it is substantially bigger. Works great keeps the floor dry and the water doesn't slosh out of the bowl onto the floor. 81dnZRJovnL._AC_SL1500_-1.jpg

I've got a splash proof bowl for my dog. It has a detachable lip that goes around the top edge so it can't splash over the top. It works perfectly never had a spill. I can't remember where I got thought.

With my dog a set a small plastic box, like to store sweaters in, on floor in front of passenger seat. Inside that plastic box I set a stainless steel bowl of water and one of dog food.
