Does anyone have a mid nineties 379 with an e-model cat and a stand-up 63 inch bunk that still has the pounds of Freon sticker on the firewall? I would like to know how much goes in. Thanks

I always kept an eye on the “eye glass” on the dryer, no bubbles, it’s full.
Dino soar Thanks this. -
I havnt seen an eye on a dryer since like 1980. Shows your age......
4 to 5 lbs is surely in ballpark. Tweek until pressures are in the sweet spot and duct temps are coldest. Its not an exact science.Diesel Dave Thanks this. -
Your probably right, last one I saw was on my 1994 379. I haven’t noticed one nor paid attention to my 2014 388. I know the shop where I parked has a hi-tech system. Looks more like a plug and play set up.
Goodysnap Thanks this. -
You could also use the psi temperature chart and compare to ambient temp to get correct psi’s and Freon amount
