FYI Ooida doesn’t insure in MA and VA? I think it was, had to do progressive and my first year was 23k, down to 17k second year, few more weeks I’ll know what it drops to again

My agent went through Progressive for me. New authority and no actual driving experience. Clean driving record, full coverage on the trailer, 14k roughly.
Mib4u Thanks this. -
I'm not sure how that's possible. I had 5yrs experience with a CDL, high 600 credit score, nothing on my MVR , on a 2006 western star and my 1st yr insurance for new authority was $21000!
Really curious to see what mine drops too at the end of Aug when my 1yr is up -
What do you haul? I just run dry van 1 mil on the coverage across the board with a 30k coverage .on my truck. Just wondering because If you carry a trailer “interchange” rider they want 2100 more a month on mine.

I couldn't tell ya, just know how much it is. My driving experience was never even questioned. I have had commercial vehicle policies for 20 years with no claims, but nothing over a 14k GVW, and none requiring CDL.

I'm live in VA. I got a quote from ooida for about 1400 a month.

Carriers are changing all the time. They all want a piece of that Progressive pie. Regionals carriers and others will take new venture for a while, then stop, etc. Best to get an agent that has a lot of markets and has their finger on the pulse of who is taking new ventures. Ask around in the Facebook trucking groups. You'll see trucking insurance agents answering questions in there.

Yes quotes me at 60,0000 literally

Insurance depends on so many factors, area you live in, range you operate in, credit score, experience level, tickets etc.
chameleon34 and OldeSkool Thank this.
