I have the Verizon wireless broadband as well as the cell. I am EXTREMELY happy with both. I LOVE the broadband. Only places I havent been able to use it are a few small areas in Kentucky and a small area in Southern, MS. It has been almost flawless in the year I've had it.

My personal phone was Alltel, and my company phone was Verizon. Guess which one I had to call work on a couple times a week cause the company phone didnt have freaking service! Since Verizon has purchased Alltel, I have yet to see one single improvement. Seems to me like Verizon customers got the better end of that deal. Better service in remote areas, plus the friends and family perk, all Alltel customers gained is lousy customer service...

I have had Verizon since it was founded in 2000. This summer when I went back OTR for a few months I added the broadband USB. I had only a couple instances where I had no broadband service. One was in the middle of nowhere between Laredo and San Angelo, Tx. The other time was a couple spots on a trip from west Texas to Salt Lake City. I am very happy with the service, both on my phone and for my laptop.

I can't wait until the iPhone is available on Verizon. Then you will really get to see what technology can do. What good is a phone like that if you can hardly use it when you travel?

AT&T for phone (iphone) and Verizon for Internet. I got one of their netbooks when I signed up. Excellent Internet service. Haven't come close to using the 5gb they include in the $60 per month plan. Can't say enough good about Verizon. May even loose the iphones and switch our phones to verizon someday.

Once again I would like to thank all who responded. Decided to keep ATT for phone, mostly because most of the people that sis and I know are ATT plus they (Verizon) couldn't quite get me a plan as cheap as the one I have now.

Did can the wireless tho and went to Verizon. Now just have to wait and see. Will be back OTR tomorrow. Let the comparasions begin!!!! Even if I only get 2 to 3 times the coverage Verizon says I'll get.....it'll still be more than ATT.

When I signed up for Verizon internet, I bought one of those Gateway Netbooks. Quite a bit of horsepower for the $$. It also had a $100 rebate. It's compact and the battery life is WAAAAY longer than my laptop.
    Good luck!

The problem is, if the laptop fails you no longer have the card to move to the next machine. That, and you can get the Acer Aspire One which is one of the better Netbooks from Walmart for $279.

I'd get the USB card, and if you want a netbook, just buy one outright without the aircard built in.

Part of your speed comes from a good aircard.

Please advise to the fastest bestest aircard. My current contract is up and i'd like to renew with the best equipment available from VZ. I'd like an unbiased opinion before going to the VZ store and getting a sales spiel from a barely old enough to shave kid.
