Experienced Driver Alert : They are building a new Walmart DC in north central florida. Over in Volusia county I think, south of Palatka, near Cresant City-maybe. Google for details, I'm not sure. But jobs will be available, not sure who will be transporting their freight. BUT JOBS !!!!! IN FLORIDA !!!!

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I have heard rumors that they might build a super wally in Nassau somewhere west of the 95 corridor. There is one in Yulee, but I dont know why they would want one in Callahan or Hilliard... Who knows.
Check with Publix, they might be looking for drivers. -
Not true, yes they have there own fleet of trucks but they also have other truck compaines haul for them too. Most as what I seen where o/o compaines but they do have outside contracts too.

Publix requireds min.of 1 year experience. Also its very hard to get hired with them.I have heard of people waiting up to 2 years to get hired. Not sure how true,I was told they hold app's up to 2 years.I think they like to hire drivers with a min.5 years experience.Got this info from someone that drove for them.

I have a friend that been with them for over six years, he actually got on after he got his cdl if I remember correctly. Dont ask me how he did it but he did. They are a alright company, but have good benifits. I already have about 3k in stocks in Publix.

They do have their own fleet of trucks but they have GreatWide haul all of their local freight. My brother has had his truck leased on to them for over 5 years now. You will get mixed reviews about them....mostly negative. Reason being...they love to play favorites when it comes to load assignments.
