We had two MP7 Macks (Volvo D11). I replaced compressor on one due to sticky unloader. It is Wabco compressor, but not side flange mounted like the MX and was single cylinder like newer Paccar. I believe DD's here is NA run a Bendix compressor.

 

What was cost of compressor? Reman was little over $1100.00 and pump was $500. Since starter was off put new one on $275. Compressor was two day wait, all other parts had next day. Shame on compressor wait, Wabco NA main warehouse is only 40 miles from shop.

 

8xx€ but didn't buy it from Paccar.
Bought original Wabco from a Wabco dealer.
Paccar was 500€ more expensive.


Wanted to rebuild the old compressor but the rebuild kit is almost the same price as buying a complete compressor.
For now it sits in my shop ,in a corner.

 

What amazes me is how long it takes to get spare parts in US considered how large the market is for trucks. The reason most customers in Sweden buy Volvo or Scania is the aftermarket support which is very good. Most parts are in stock or next day at the local dealer.

 

Unless a computer chip is involved.
The lack off chips is worldwide and is biting.

 

We are looking for a new hiab operator class 1 or class 2 to man our 2020 R520 rigid hiab with 65t pm crane and cheese wedge body

It looks like it’s got ramps on the back that fold up and make a level loading surface……..

just a guess…….

wonder what they make for wages.?
