Sometimes I get fed up with all the bs that comes with the northeast but when i get back to the yard after 6-7 hours of total drive time i thank God i don't have to drive another 4-5 hours. But then a lot of people would rather rip their hair out then do what I do Lol. My dad's 1st year or 2 driving he did a bit of OTR running produce and never went back. Instead he traded that for running NYC daily for almost 20 years Lol. 1st LTL then steel

I think what happens is you can get really out of shape quickly as an OTR driver. You lose flexibility sitting behind a steering wheel. Then you try to unstuck a tandem release with one hand or you do some other awkward task and you screw up your back or shoulder or whatever. So its not really the driving that gets you, its the lifestyle. Or, if you exercise regularly, eat healthy and stetched every morning, youd never hurt yourself driving.

Good advice along with no wallet in your back pocket. I always loosen my belt when driving and my button if my jeans are on the tighter side. You wanna keep the blood flowing as best as possible to your lower extremities.

I have one of these that I put behind me a few times a day for 10 or 15 minutes at a time. It can be moved around to work on everything from the lower lumbar up to the shoulders.

While I'll agree, the Hendrickson rubber pad suspension is almost like nothing, solid rubber tires? By golly, buddy, you're older than I thought! Solid tires went out in the 20's, so I doubt you rode on them, but I heard, they would lose big chunks and was like riding down rail road tracks for the rest of the day.buddyd157 and mustang190 Thank this.

No one is shoving that roller dog in your mouth or forcing you to drink those 20 ounce Mountain Dews 5 times a day!
You the driver is the one who bellies up to the buffet and loads your plate with the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes covered in 50 weight gravy!
If anyone thinks that driving is rough now, I have to laugh!!
My first truck was a 1971 White 4000 , no AC and no power steering! Not to mention spring ride. -
I’m 63 years old. Can I move like I did when I was 20? No I can’t but, I’m in decent shape and according to my doctor I’m in great shape compared to a lot of other 63 year olds.
