The kenworth line is getting the new dash too……
Concorde and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
Kind of figured they would…Volvo’s are looking better and better every day now. Rumor has it, I can get twice the mpg out of one..kind of pays for itself
-
When do you plan on posting your 389 review? What problems have you had with it? I'm interested to hear....Cat sdp Thanks this.

I do believe that's all trucks. The speed cannot be changed after they are manufactured.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
-
OR....it's not supposed to be changed lol.
Guarantee it's tires and lawyers.
Mine is currently set at 98. -
Parts out west 80 mph, toll roads in Texas 85 mphRubber duck kw, AModelCat and Stray_Dog Thank this.
-
The only truck right now is Volvo with a hard limit in ECM of 85 mph. Dealers cannot change it.bzinger, Dave_in_AZ and lilillill Thank this.
-
Volvo software has a maximum of 87 mph and that's what I set mine at. Dang lawyers... always ruining the fun.
That being said, unless it's nice and cool on a mostly deserted road with a light load, I keep it to about 72.
65 the other day coming out of Laredo with a load of avocados when it was 105° out.bzinger, Dave_in_AZ and Concorde Thank this. -
It’ll probably be awhile before I do a review.
Here’s some of the problems I have.
Drivers door window is all messed up. Driver door gasket falling off. Hood gasket won’t stay on and have to fix it every time I stop.
High beam on the multi stick binds up, real pia.
Trailer break leaver doesn’t return by itself..pull it down and it stays there.
Coolant loss of 2 gallons since new, truck now has 75k miles.
Fuel tanks have a crazy problem going on. Example, switch to right side tank and it’ll completely drain the left tank. Two days ago I had the switch to the left tank and the right tank was overflowing.
coolant reservoir was cracked at the top. Many smaller problems also.
To make matters worse, I dropped the truck off at Rush in Lake City, Fl for a month and they didn’t do anything but fix a broken wire on an auxiliary light and do a pm service.
Never, ever will I go back there.
My shops of choice are Peterbilt in Billings, MT and Kenworth in Dodge City, Kansas. Those two shops are the only ones I’ve had great dealings with and trust..Speed_Drums, autopaint and Hayfieldmn Thank this.
