Do you think that the Federal Government would use "age discrimination" against an old man. I mean "old". I have a "perfect" background, nothing negative, except telling a bunch of employers where to stick it.
Here's your chance

Any priority for veterans ?

Too bad they aren't hiring in CA. I'd tell my hubby to get his butt there and turn in his resume. I read the average pay for federal employees is over $70,000 a year.......not too shabby. I don't think it's deserved but.....oh well.

There's a 5 and 10 point preference for vets.

I wonder if they do psychological and polygraph exams.
They have openings in GA. Excellent. I have some ex-employers (O/O with 1-2 trucks) that I would like to pull into the scales... Just kidding???
Do they send you to the head shrinker for this job? And do you have to take a lie-detector test?

Just a pre-employment drug test. I've had about three random drug test in ten years.
DB post has to do with officers that carry side arms. I suppose if you went to work for the feds in an agency that carried side arms there may be some additional screening. They don't want to issue aside arm to someone that may go postal.

Too bad there is not any in central illinois. I might consider getting off the road then.

PHMSA's advertising for their service center in Des Plaines, IL. The FMCSA should be advertising for Illinois in the next month or two use "motor carrier safety" at www.usajobs.com
