Tinting the window what is the legal %

Needs to allow 70% of light to pass thru...no more than 30% tint
FMCSA OKs window tinting on commercial vehicles

 

Oh wow, didn't know that it's allowed now

 

Many roadside inspections they deem it greater than 30% and get you to remove it.. keep box it may help you.

 

And don't forget that most factory glass has a little tint built in. You can't get 30% in most cases and still be legal.....

do you want shade like blackish tint or do you want no heat tint. even blackish color tint wont block uv rays. you need ceramic tint for that

 

i did 20% on all my windows on my pickup. i did 30% on my whole windshield. yes the whole thing. no more bright lights.

 

If you have tinted windows keep them rolled down if you get pulled thru AL. l-20 scales, if you don't have a blade to scrap them off while you are cleaning out your wallet for the fine they will be charging you
