The problem I have is if shipping or receiving require the load tarpped they should not have a person do it off location. I realize the risks and so do they but to try and keep them from being liable they want you to do it off site.
I picked up a load in north las Vegas they were great they secured at my instructions and tarped the load as well the uses their fall protection supplied edge protection for the straps all I has to do was hook up bungee straps.

I loaded at atlas tube 3 times as a back haul. (Never again, all three times over weight, the last time the customer showed me their po for 45k when my paperwork said 43k.) they had 5 loading bays, then you moved to the two that you could tarp in. They would not allow you on your trailer anywhere but the tarp bays. guys were doing full tarp jobs in the tarp bays instead of pinning the corners and pulling out so there was a considerable wait. Thankfully I had a conestoga.
if a customer requires the load to be tarped, it’s done on their property. If they tell me to go down the road to tarp, I’ll go down the road, but there won’t be any tarps involved.jdchet, Czar_Zero, Speed_Drums and 2 others Thank this.
