How do they handle spare parts supply in an efficient way with that many suspension options?spsauerland and 98989 Thank this.
-
easy… dealerships have next to nothing in stock. And the customer has to order the parts and pay for overnight shipping if they are available from the vendors…….

Dealer is not only source for parts. On common Paccar suspension I replace bushings on (Hendrickson supplies spring), I can get the bushings that are OEM supplied (Tenneco) for fraction of cost in Clevite line. Paccar parts are usually only day out, and they are building a new PDC close to our location so we will be able to beat those "overnight" freight costs on emergency orders. Same company I get bushings from keeps large assortment of Hendrickson and Chalmers parts on shelf. I don't deal with Newway much, but their PDC is two doors down from my local KW dealer.

But that's a terrible solution for the customer.
Is it the same for transmissions, axles and brakes with 50 different versions available?98989 Thanks this.
