I don’t know the correct way to remove it. But I now know the incorrect way. Lol. Just joking. That’s got to be threaded in to the bolt. If it’s like mine, that bolts welded to a plate mounted with spring ubolts. My whole big bolt broke off before I had the Truck. It’s been welded back on crooked. I beat it and had it welded again. Still crooked, might replace it someday. Not a big deal. Will need new ubolts. Maybe someday. Not worth it now. You can weld a nut to it, try again with heat. You can grind it flat, weld a new 8 grade stud, (bolt with head cut off) to the end,That would be the easiest way.No welder? Maybe try grinding it flat, punch a center hole in it. Use a reverse drill bit. One size smaller than stud. Good one might cost $15/$20. Chances are after drilling into it a bit, the whole stud comes out. If not drill it out, chase new threads. That’s a crappy design. Lot of anti seize if fixed like original. Can always slap a zip tie to it for now. Looking at it again. A bracket or a giant washer over the big bolt, drill a hole for a small bolt for leveler might be a better design anyways. Or till you can get a bolt welded to the end. You could use another bolt after shocks bolted on to move it further to the outside. Don’t think it’s needed. But that way, you can get a new stud welded on later. While it’s still all hooked up. Then just take the extra bolt off, bracket off, and hook it up back original.

I doubt you can get a small plumbers pipe wrench on it. If so, might work. Maybe grind 2 flat sides on it, just enough to pound an open end wrench onto it, or even a small adjustable wrench. I’d try all that first.

I'm sure you just want to head up to the shop and get it fixed right away, but in the future you could buy yourself an oxygen acetylene torch outfit. Just make sure you have a really good heavy duty Rosebud torch with it.
You can get small tanks so that is very portable it does not take up a lot of room. Just remember the smaller the tanks the more often you have to go have them filled.
Not having a welder is one thing, but having access to heat and being able to cut things you'll wonder what you did without it.JonJon78, feldsforever and Rideandrepair Thank this. -

Next time. Spray it with your favorite lube oil or penetrating spray thenTry to tighten it first. Old man taught me that. Works bout 60% of the time.
Or put a wrench on it. Hold the wrench firm with one hand. And then smack that hand with your other hand. Again
Don't know why it works but I swear by these two methods.JonJon78 and shatteredsquare Thank this. -
