Not any that use DAC. You'll need to find a small company that doesn't use DAC reporting. Even then, if/when their insurance takes a look...it's not going to be good.

    Based on your own statements......

You'll be flagged, "Subject to re-hire following a full medical examination and release."

Unless you told your company you fell asleep.

A lot of people make the mistake of not knowing what happened, and stating so. Which allows a company to make a medical determination on their own. Until you provide a clean bill of health from a Doctor.

    ml41551 Thanks this.

Should have just hit the turn signal and merged back onto the road like nothing happened. That's what I did when I woke up doing 70mph in the median a few years ago. :biggrin_25523:

Seen one last night...trailer was still in the road. Tractor was buried to the axles on the shoulder.

It looked like he had just stopped, then turned right and drove it into the mud, and didn't quite get his trailer clear of the road.

He didn't nod off though, wind got him and 2 others. It got rough around here about 11pm

Hey, one time I saw an England truck stuck up to his frame alongside I-40 just east of Amarillo. It appeared he had got off an exit and tried to take the "service road" back toward town (instead of crossing the interstate and getting back on going west). He ran out of service road, and instead of backing up a couple miles to the nearest intersection, he tried to cross the "dirt" back to the interstate.

Makes me wonder about them :biggrin_25512:
It's been a few years, but I seen one (CRE) stuck between the interstate and the scales in AZ. Trailer had sat down on the tandems when he tried to cut across after missing the ramp.

For drivers that have gotten tickets unfairly has anyone ever thought of writing a letter? Ive been told when driving a truck 1 should always have an attorney. I always felt by telling the truth a guy does not need 1. Also when people say the "Trooper" is taking notes never let it be said the driver is not doing the same. On a U.S. highway in Indiana west approaching a stop light, it was red as i got closer it turned green semis were in the right lane still stopped so I turned on my left turn signal getting in the left lane crossing over the intersection then turning my right turn signal getting back into the right lane the trooper was east bound at the stop light and turned his flashers on. I explained i did not know when its safe to do so you cannot pass. His remark was if other people are going to drive 80 am i going to do the same? I was not sure where he was going with this. So I just looked straight ahead out the front window. After he asked for my license and medical card. Then said to me "what are you going to do now? ignore me? After all this I had a ticket for $139.50 I wrote a letter to the courts The State Police where his post is as well as to IDOT. I also mentioned if they want to practice safety start by getting extra "flashing yellow" lights to indicate the light will change soon. explaining they have those at some areas and Ive been at the perfect spot that when the light changed from green to yellow it put me into the intersection when "hard breaking" with 42,500 lbs. on the wagon. I Also mentioned a few other things as well. To this day that is not on my record. They have my $139.50 though.

Hubby just told me he got a ticket in GA for entering the highway too slow. Cop said he made the traffic slow down, and called it a "failure to yield". This is his first ticket on the truck. Should he go to one of those traffic law places? Anyone got a recommendation?
