Chatted with an Amarillo ODFL linehaul last night in Clayton. He said his terminal was starting people out on PnD and then moving them over to linehaul extra board when a spot opened up. PnD sounds alright if it was a night shift thing. I'd head up right away.
Old dominion refused me?

Speak for yourself, not all companies and locations are in the same situation. FedEx Freight linehaul is 5 days a week, with limited weekend work for volunteers. The extraboard can technically be forced to come in on the weekend or a holiday, but it's extremely rare for most terminals.

I wouldn't trust him lolbentstrider83 Thanks this.

99% of PND is daytime

I'd be tossed out of there like a wet rag in no time flat then.

Can't trust anybody. It's either do your research and be scared off from anything based on your findings. Or just job-hop until you find the right fit.

I had weekends off and slept in my own bed every day from day one. Nobody is a system driver at my place unless they want to be. My particular terminal has zero drivers staying in hotels and the only guys working a 6th day are those who sign up for it.bentstrider83 and jmz Thank this.
