I make a lot of money in a 65 mph truck and a base rate of 60 cpm. I’ll keep doing what I’m doing.Kyle G., slow.rider, nredfor88 and 5 others Thank this.

I have never, nor will I ever, fall for the mileage pay scam,
It would take me 3 weeks to run 3200 milesslow.rider, D.Tibbitt and God prefers Diesels Thank this. -
I made over 1700 last week in a 64 mph auto with .48 cpm base pay, drove 2420 miles, worked less than 50 hours and slept in my own bed every day.
Accessory pay should not be overlooked. You need to look at the total picture.slow.rider, BigBob410, nredfor88 and 3 others Thank this. -
I think OP is basically saying the higher the CPM, the higher potential earnings might be. I think he is also alluding to the fact that the more miles per hour one can run, the higher the potential earnings.
The suggestion of a 13 speed for exercise, this is just a bonus, OP is basically throwing us a bone on this one.
Over a long career however, guys with manual tranny sometimrs wind up with the appearance of one leg longer than the other from double clutching for years on end, so perhaps this ought to factor into the equation as well.
Perhaps the equation could be re-written as follows:
Higher CPM + Higher MPH = Higher $$
This is just a hypothesis at this point, maybe others could chime in. I think we are definitely on the right track.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
The excersize you get with a 13 speed is just not something a guy with a 10 speed can understand ! We are in 2 different leauges my friend

What is this "double clutching" thing that you speak of? What is that? Maybe you're trying to pull my (left) leg, huh?
Brettj3876, buzzarddriver, slow.rider and 5 others Thank this. -
I look for a day rate over 350$. And extra 50 for weekend days. Paid if broken down, paid if no freight, paid extra if available from home, approximately 1800 or less miles a week, double pay for holidays, etc... on time bonus is nice too... dispatch at 45mph...relaxing.Brettj3876, TripleSix, slow.rider and 3 others Thank this.

I was wondering whose alt OP was.
slow.rider and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
Everything you just typed is total hogwash. First off, most companies aren't laying 60 cpm. It don't make a difference how fast your truck goes, or what transmission you have. The only thing that matters is the company's ability to keep a driver busy, their ability to load plan, reliable equipment, and the driver him/herself. The reason for driving a 13 speed is exercise? That's laughable.....slow.rider and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
