Something that many drivers can't do at the moment...drive 400 extra miles ;)

He missed the arguement anyway. JB is the "model" that companies are steering toward. OTHER companies are holding out as long as possible, to maintain lower rates, and cheaper driver pay.

Go to work for your local freight hauler I.E. Fedex/ UPS FREIGHT/ABF and you can make $800 in two days or your $44,000.00 in 6 months. Get over starting at the bottom and working your way up a senority board , don't be scared to go apply at these company's because you can make J.B. wages working 2 days a week.... Experienced driver's let's talk about grossing $1700.00 to $2000.00 a week not $855 what a joke.

Also don't be afraid to get laid off when your making $80,000 + a year you can afford to get laid off.

Don't need any luck. I don't work for them.

But they are the future of trucking. Whether we like it or not.

You are correct...dedicated accounts have their own pay scale based on the contract price. And OTR drivers I believe come in at .34-.37 based on experience get a penny raise every 6 months up to .43/mile

From the JB drivers I know of when the pay goes up the miles go down.

I have a couple of decades of experience, and they wanted to pay me .31 a mile to run rail loads to Hermiston OR from the rail yard in Seattle. Called on another dedicated out of Sumner Wa that paid the same and ran 200 mile radius. They may pay that down south but not up here in the NW, unless things changed recently.

I heard the same thing about Watkins. Less in the W-2 at the end of the year. (circa 1997)

My highway hero said he did the best he ever did in 25+ years at JB. He was sneaking things past safety, and knew how they operated. He did Target for a while, then went on flats.
