You'll like it here. No it's not a top of the line 100k a year gig but you will absolutely not be treated like a number here. They give ya your loads an expect ya to be a big boy an handle being on time an taking care of the customers. Open communication is key if any issues come up. It's always planned out well and I've never had any major issues with hometime or anything we've needed along the way.

When a load is assigned, do they give us plenty of time to del or pu? I ask because my last co. Ran us so tight all the time, it just kept you stressed out, that's 1 reason why I'm changing.

I've never been late due to my fault, I'm just getting older and I'm tired of being stressed out.

Most loads have enough time, every once in awhile you might get one that you gotta take a split break on tho.

You need to tell them how ya like to run. They normally plan everything pretty well. I've never been given anything that my log book wouldn't accomplish. The only time I've had to be late was when i was solo running off a recap an my hours of service made being on time not possible. In those instances dispatch new ahead of time an just offered to update the customer. But they were deliveries that had wiggle room.Lumper Humper, mdmgolfin, 57 model and 1 other person Thank this.

I started in 1994. My first truck was an old 85 freightliner. Had an old skinny flat top bunk on it with a rubber boot between bunk an cab. Had an old 350 cummins which had a broken governor. Never found out for sure what it would top out at but got clocked an stopped in iowa for running 96.Lumper Humper, 57 model and dwells40 Thank this.

To @Lumper Humper hey we got our bonus. They paid it separate an taxed it by itself which is definitely better than adding it to payroll an taxing all of it. Personally I'd prefer that bonuses not be taxed at all but at least they saved us some taxes by doing it separate.
