Yep, that was me. She was going to get her CDL through school and they were going to let me train her but she changed her mind.

Well YES YOU CAN!! As long you are behind the wheel, you guys will be in good hands. But if she wants to drive as well she’ll have to go and get her CDL if you guys were going to be a team driver. That’s only if you want your wife to drive. Have fun!!

I don't get it, if you are an O/O, just plop her in the seat. Many companies encourage husband/wife teams today, unless you can't handle the old lady,,,just kidding, I'd have to think, she's just like adding any driver to your truck and would escape all the company mumbo-jumbo. I may out of the loop, but I'm not sure if a company hiring an O/O really cares who drives the truck, as long as it's legal, or they'd hire their own drivers. I had that gripe with the guy I was leased to. If he'd complain about something, I'd say, "if you don't like it, buy a truck and hire your own driver". That usually shut him up. I'd rather show wifey myself( not that it applies) than some trainer .

It would all depend on if you have your own Commercial/general liability coverage as most companies do not have what is needed to cover driver trainee's/drivers with less than 2yrs
