1999 Detroit 60 series 500hp @2100 rpms

    If you look around online you can find old Detroit Series 60 literature where they show a graph of engine brake performance measured in HP. 1400 rpm is about 180hp, 2000 rpm is about 400hp.

    Nothing like ISX jakes, but they do work better with rpm.

    Just making sure I will not hurt my 12.7 by running it at 2000.
    Minr6 is geared 370 rear with a 10 speed

    My problem was that engine break needed a rebuild. The shop who did rehaul on the engine lied to me that they rebuilt the engine break. Went to different shop problem was fixed fast and now my engine break works good;)
