Hello,
I saw job postings for companies like Western Dairy. I like the idea of tanker driving for food and not haz mat. Are there tanker companies that have CDL schools where I can work for them once I'm through schools. I'm calling Western Dairy, Schneider and Stevens Transport today to ask them directly about tanker driving. Are there others that I should consider? I will move for the job, but would prefer not to go further west than Texas.
Thank you.

Thank you.
I will call them today. -
Go to Schneider. Be a company driver for a year and get your training.
-
You have to have 6 months experience for schneider tankers
-
They must've changed that because they used to take newbies all the time.

Prime has a good tanker division but very few tanker trainers. You could wait a long long time after school before getting a tanker trainer. It could be such a long wait you decide to give up and pull reefers instead. Prime has a tanker driver on YouTube named John Ogren. Great videos.Chinatown Thanks this.

I got off the phone with em yesterday after getting my CLP and tanker endorsement. They gonna send me to a school near me(houston) and pay for it all to get my Class A license, then ima go to 4.5wks of tanker training for them and then be on my own driving tankers for em. Gonna do regional so i can be home on the weekends while i get my 1 year experience

Will you be under a 1 year contract? Is the tanker division getting any miles? From what I've seen that's a bit or miss with them.
