It's not as simple as do they or don't they. My company doesn't UNLESS you start standing out for excessive critical stops, time spent driving outside of a lane or other wacky driving behavior. If and only if you become a problem driver will they put a driver-facing camera in your truck to figure out what's going on. Percentagewise less than 5% of the trucks in the fleet have one. I've never had one in my truck. I've worked for another company before this one with a similar policy.

Companies are now advertising no driver cam as a recruitment tool. You'll always have your group of people who would ride around with a rectal thermometer the size of a corn dog so their dispatcher could check their temp if needed. Most drivers don't want anything to do with the cameras , companies know it or else they wouldn't hide that info during the recruiting process
